Your password must meet the following requirements:
a.You cannot re-use any of your last 20 passwords.
b.Your password must include at least one upper case, at least one lower case, and at least one number.
c.You must change at least 3 or more characters in your new password.
d.You cannot have spaces in passwords.
e.You may use only the following special characters: !]+[-:_?
f.Passwords must have a minimum of eight (8) characters and maximum of twenty-five (25) characters.
g.Passwords should not contain words that are in the dictionary.
h.Passwords should not use any combination of letters of a user’s real name, username, initials or nickname.
i.Password cannot be one of: welcome, database, account, user, password, oracle, computer, abcd
j.**3 Failed log on attempts will lock the account for 1 hour
MyGeorgiaSouthern / Google
To reset your password go to My.GeorgiaSouthern.edu, login with your account, go to Personal Settings and change your password, which syncs to Banner. If you don’t know your password or have forgotten your password, please submit a MyTech Help Ticket or contact MyTech Support at 478-2287 OR firstname.lastname@example.org .
**NOTE** Changing your MyGeorgiaSouthern/Google password automatically changes your password in PROD, UPGR, HOUSE, SHACK and DWPROD. However, it does not change the Unix Password on GUS4.
Changing your MyGeorgiaSouthern/Google password automatically changes your password in PROD, UPGR, HOUSE, SHACK and DWPROD. However, it does not change the Unix Password on EAGLE104. The screen will show you which accounts the password sync’d to. If it did not sync to one of the databases, you will need to go back to MyGeorgiaSouthern and change the password to something totally different than you have had before.

There are no passwords for AppsXtender. You must sync your Banner password to AppsXtender.
Click on the new Banner icon on your desktop. (if you do not have this icon, please contact your Divisional IT Support Representative).
Enter your Banner ID and Banner password and click connect (please leave the database field blank).
From the Banner form, click Tools, Banner Document Suite, Retrieve Documents on the toolbar.
Your Application/WebXtender password has now been synchronized and is available through Banner or as a stand alone application.
Your Business Objects password is the same as your MyGeorgiaSouthern password. If you have forgotten your Business Objects password, please see the instructions above to change your MyGeorgiaSouthern password, or submit a MyTech Help Ticket or contact MyTech Support at 478-2287 OR firstname.lastname@example.org .

To reset your WordPress password, take the following steps:
- Navigate the WordPress login page ([subdomain].georgiasouthern.edu/infosec/wp-login)
- Click on “Lost your password?” Substitute your own subdomain name for [subdomain] portion of the address (e.g., coba, coe, students)
- WordPress will send you a reset link in email.
- If you continue to experience problems with your WordPress credentials please contact your domain content owner.
Student Organizations – Email Accounts
If you have forgotten your Student Organization Email password, please have the Fac/Staff Advisor submit a MyTech Help Ticket or contact MyTech Support at 478-2287 OR email@example.com .
