Our AV Standards

Georgia Southern University’s IT Services Division has identified/approved Audio Visual standards that will meet a variety of configurations. The identified AV configurations provide customers with a cost efficient solution that is supported by the the various Division’s technical support teams.

The standards outlined below are reviewed on an annual basis. In addition, the replacement cycle for existing Academic spaces is to replace projectors and document cameras every 5 years and all other components every 10 years.

The Center for Academic Technology Support understands that not all pre-configured solutions will meet the needs of each space. Therefore, our team provides expertise in the design of new or existing spaces as well as the installation and ongoing support of the equipment. Customers should submit a MyTechHelp ticket to initiate the process for an AV project. We will assign an analyst to project manage the process from start to finish.
