CRTS Mission Statement

The mission of Computational Research Technical Support is to:

  1. Enable research and scholarship at Georgia Southern University by providing faculty with access to high-performance computing, data, and visualization resources.
  2. Provide a wide range of guidance and services to facilitate faculty led research including software development, data analytics, and parallel computing.
  3. Provide education, outreach, and training at Georgia Southern University.

In addition to providing access to state-of-the-art computational and visualization resources, CRTS staff, provide a wide range of services to facilitate faculty led research including custom software and GUI interface development, (big) data analytics, scientific programming support.  CRTS  will offers courses in high-performance computing, training and workshops in specific aspects of high-end computing.

CRTS is currently directly involved in supporting the following areas of research:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Geology and Geography
  • Mathematical Sciences
  • Physics
