What is an OWG?
Operational Working Groups, or “OWGs” are the groups in a given area that make recommendations to the CIC. These groups are broken into specific focus areas. In IT Services, we have five OWGs. For more information regarding our OWGs, please check out the “Our Team” section of the site.
What is an FAC?
The Functional Area Coordinators or “FACs” are the representatives for a given area on the CIC. There are typically two FACs for an area–one per institution. Functional Area Coordinators for Information Technology Services are CIOs Ron Stalnaker and Tim Moody.
What is the CIC?
The Consolidation Implementation Committee is the leadership group that will guide Georgia Southern University and Armstrong State University through the consolidation process. More information about the CIC can be accessed on the main consolidation site for the University.
What is the Master Tracker?
The Master Tracker is a living document that is used to track the progress of various tasks related to consolidation. As OWGs make progress in these various tasks, the Master Tracker is updated to reflect that progress and communicate it with the USG.
