Faculty/Staff My.GeorgiaSouthern Account

Faculty

Upon successful completion of the Background Investigation, faculty MyGeorgiaSouthern accounts will be created within 3 days.  After this period has passed, faculty can obtain their account information.  To access their new account information, faculty will visit the “First Time User?” link located underneath the Login area of https://my.georgiasouthern.edu.  There faculty can obtain their username and initial password which gives them access to MyGeorgiaSouthern. Once logged into MyGeorgiaSouthern, faculty will have access to services such as Email, WINGS and FOLIO.

First time user instructions will be conveyed to new faculty as part of the faculty welcome package.  If a new faculty member experiences an issue logging into My.GeorgiaSouthern, please have the new faculty contact the Center for Academic Technology Support at (912) 478-2287 or cats@georgiasouthern.edu

If you hire/re-hire someone and they are not in First Time User as instructed, please enter a ticket in MyTechHelp. Please include the name, Eagle Id and start date.

Staff

Reminder:  Personnel Action Forms/People Admin Hiring Proposals/On-Boarding Paperwork must be completed and submitted to Human Resources within 3 days of the effective date of the action taking place or no later than the published payroll deadlines, whichever is earlier.  If the paperwork is not receive by the payroll deadlines, there will be a delay in the account creation.

Non-Paid Affiliates (Visiting Scholars/Professors/Interns)

Upon successful completion of the Background Investigation, non-paid affiliate MyGeorgiaSouthern accounts will be created within 3 days.  After this period has passed, non-paid affiliates can obtain their account information.  To access their new account information, non-paid affiliates will visit the “First Time User?” link located underneath the Login area of https://my.georgiasouthern.edu.  There non-paid affiliates can obtain their username and initial password which gives them access to MyGeorgiaSouthern. Once logged into MyGeorgiaSouthern, non-paid affiliates will have access to services such as Email.

Special Note about Departmental Storage
Access to the departmental storage, known as the R:Drive, will not be added as part of the automatic process. Once the department credentials are added to our record of source, Accounts Management will make that storage available to the individual.

 

Retired Faculty/Staff

As a Georgia Southern Retiree, you are entitled to keep your email account. Web mail is available from the Georgia Southern web page to access the email account from home. Upon retirement, you will be deleted from all ListServs, except GSNEWS.

Any Departmental Email, Web Page or ListServ will be transferred to a Full Time Faculty or Staff member.

After retirement, if you need to get a new account, please click here and fill out the form and send to the address at the bottom of the form.

East Georgia Faculty

Account Form for East Georgia Faculty Please Note, this form is ONLY for East Georgia Faculty that are accessing computers on campus to teach classes. The form will be filled out by Caroline McMillan. If you need this type of account, please contact Caroline McMillan at East Georgia.
