Departmental Email Information

To access your Departmental Email Account

Be sure to use a different browser than you currently have open for your personal email account.

From the Georgia Southern Web page

Click on MyGS at the top of the page

Click on Student Organizations & Departmental Accounts

Enter your username and password (If you don’t know the password and need the password reset, please submit a MyTech Help Ticket or contact MyTech Support at 478-2287 OR helpdesk@georgiasouthern.edu)

 

To Reset the Password (NOTE – you have to know the current password in order to change it. If you need the password reset, Please submit a MyTech Help Ticket or contact MyTech Support at 478-2287 OR helpdesk@georgiasouthern.edu.)

From the Georgia Southern Web Page

Click on MyGS at the top of the page

Click on Departmental Accounts/Student Organizations

Click on Change Password

This will take you to identity.georgiasouthern.edu (Click Advanced, Add Exception, Confirm)

You maybe asked to setup security questions

Enter your username and password, click Login

Enter the old/current password

Enter New Password

Confirm New Password

Click OK

 

To setup Email Delegation (give access to another person to check the email account)

From the Georgia Southern Web Page

Click on MyGS at the top of the page

(make sure you are on a different web browser than you are using for your personal email account)

Click on Departmental Accounts/Student Organizations

Login to the account

Go to Mail Settings

Accounts

Grant Access to your account

Click add another account

Enter email address of the person you want to give access to

Next

Send Email to grant access
