Set Expiration Dates for Shared Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides Files

Google Drive iconFile sharing is one of Google Drive’s strongest features. It makes collaboration across the campus or across the world possible. There are times, though, when you may need to share a file with a person or a group for a specific time. You can, of course, do that now by remembering to locate the file you want to terminate sharing for and remove sharing.

The key is “remembering.”

With this new feature, Google is making it possible to set a specific sharing expiration date. The default is thirty days if you choose to set an expiration but you can choose any date in the “Custom Date” selection.
