We’re Hiring a Senior Web Application Developer

The Enterprise Web Services team provides innovative web solutions to the Georgia Southern University community. Our main area of responsibility is the campus portal, MyGeorgiaSouthern, which serves as the University’s intranet and receives 80K+ visits daily. In addition, our team develops and supports related websites and mobile applications.

As a senior web application developer, you will serve as a systems architect and will strategically design and implement campus-wide information systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions. You will provide technical leadership from strategic decision making to project planning. You will apply problem-solving skills to validate, verify and resolve application issues and improve technical processes by working with team members, analysts from other departments and end-users.

Successful candidates will have professional experience working with several of the following languages and/or technologies: HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, PHP, MySQL, Java, C#, .Net, Banner, PL/SQL.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and troubleshoot system problems. You should be comfortable working independently as well as on a team.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. Two or more years of related experience
  3. Successful completion of a background investigation prior to employment
